The Wandering Minstrel by Paul Manktelow

From far away lands where dragons sleep
And rivers wander through forests deep
The Wandering Minstrel has traveled far
To place your wishes on a star
Enchanting melodies he will play
As all your sorrows fade away
His sunny songs will chase the rain
As his heart keeps time upon a chain

The ledge lizards jump, in despair
And become dancing fishes in the air
And swans and snakes may start a fight
To see who’s wrong and who is right
The old cat sleeps beneath the moon
As a bird cooks his worm to a different tune
For Kings and Queens, and for the poor
Who is that knocking at the door?
Why Albronda Kanonda is me name
And selling dreams is me game
